Job description

  • Contract Role
  • 6 Months
  • £38.90 Inside IR35
  • Burghfield
  • Full time site based role 66 hours - 11 shifts on, 3 shifts off
  • For each day travelled to site, a £100 per diem is payable to workers travelling more than 30 miles to site.
  • Workers must have CSCS/ECS card prior to starting.
  • ** Candidates must also be eligible for SC clearance due to the nature of the role **

The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Technician to join a leading Nuclear project based at the Burghfield Site.

Job Purpose

To undertake installation activities in accordance with their training, best practice and trade/legal standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To participate in the planning and preparation of works including production of RAMS.
  • To carry out work in accordance with the work packs and best practice and applicable trade/legal standards.
  • To comply with any health and safety requirements of the work pack or work area.
  • To carry out safety and behavioural observation.
  • To comply with quality requirements of the work pack.
  • To not proceed past a hold point.
  • To report any defects, damage, safety hazards or other problems to their line manager.
  • Any other task/duties, commensurate with the Role Holder's competency, as directed by the Line Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Site Installation experience (preferred) in Nuclear Industry/Power Generation
  • Level 3 Qualification (e.g. Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship) appropriate to their trade.
  • CSCS / ECS Card relevant to qualifications and role - Mandatory for access to site
  • BS 7671: 18th Edition Wiring Regs
  • BS 7671 Inspection & Testing
