A leading water utilities provider is seeking an Electrical Asset Technician in Peterborough to ensure the delivery of clean drinking water. The role involves wiring, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical equipment essential for water treatment. Candidates should have a Level 3 electrical qualification and industrial experience. £44,000, plus overtime and standby, with opportunity for pay progression

Key responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible for wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water.
This includes:
Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment
Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions
Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams
Utilise electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues
React to technical issues to maintain water supply
What does it take to be an Electrical Asset Technician?
Level 3 electrical qualification AND
Completed an electrical apprenticeship
Strong health & safety focus
Industrial electrical experience
Ability to work standby-by and overtime as necessary
As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.
