Role Purpose

The Electrical Engineer supports the Area Operations Manager and Technical Supervisor by performing reactive and preventative maintenance on building systems, troubleshooting, and repairing low voltage electrical systems, and logging activities on the CMMS.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain low voltage electrical systems and perform PPM routines.
  2. Repair and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures.
  3. Assist with small projects and project handovers.
  4. Ensure compliance with BS7671 wiring regulations.
  5. Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
  6. Conduct risk assessments for maintenance tasks.
  7. Coordinate with helpdesk for task responses.
  8. Maintain site logbooks, compliance certifications, and produce reports.
  9. Participate in emergency call-outs and support cost reduction initiatives.
  10. Assist the team as needed under supervision.
Person Specification

Candidates should possess technical training (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent), be willing to undertake CBRE refresher training, and demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Completed an apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical installation and maintenance with practical experience.
  • City and Guilds Level 3 technical certificate or equivalent in electrical discipline.
  • City and Guilds Level 3 certificate in BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations; exceptions may be considered if obtained within 3 months of appointment.
