Electrical Contracting Parts Technician

Location: Tadworth, Various client sites

Hours: Part-time (exact hours to be agreed)

Salary: GBP 27k-GBP 32k depending on experience (based on a FTE and will be adjusted to reflect the hours agreed for the role)

Role Overview:

As an electrical contracting parts technician with CC Electrics, you will be responsible for quoting, ordering, warehousing, delivering, and managing inventory of parts needed by our engineers on client sites. Excellent people skills are as important as technical skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with and helping others and wants to be part of a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management: Maintain stock levels, order parts, track inventory, handle returns or faulty parts, and conduct regular stock takes.
• Customer Service & Communication: Assist engineers and customers with parts identification, sales, and technical advice; liaise with the office team regarding parts requests; support the estimation process for quotes involving parts.
• Order Processing: Receive, process, and collate orders; coordinate delivery to engineers or customer sites; report on purchase statuses and manage customer expectations regarding delivery times.
• Parts Identification & Cataloging: Use specialised software and catalogs to identify and document parts; understand technical aspects to provide advice and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
• Warehousing: Store, handle, and organise parts efficiently in storage facilities; use online tools for process activities and notes.

Requirements:

• Technical knowledge of electrical parts and equipment.
