A leading contractor in the water sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their team in Gloucester. This role offers a chance to work on both workshop and on-site projects, focusing on the electrical servicing and commissioning of pumps. The position provides an annual salary of up to £45,000 plus a package.

We're recruiting on behalf of a trusted industry partner, known for their specialist work in submersible pumps and control systems. With secure frameworks in place and an excellent reputation in the water sector, this is an ideal role for someone looking for long-term stability, technical variety, and real career potential.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be involved in both workshop and on-site work, including:
·Electrical repairs and servicing of pump control panels
·Installation and commissioning of pumps and associated electrical systems
·Fault-finding, testing, and calibration
·Technical troubleshooting and diagnostics
·Ensuring all work meets current electrical safety and water industry standards
We're interested in candidates who have:
·Proven experience in industrial or utility electrical work
·Knowledge of control panels, relay logic, and electrical systems
·Hands-on experience with submersible pumps such as Flygt, Grundfos, or Tsurumi
·18th Edition wiring regulations
·Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Desirable (but not essential):
·2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
·Experience working with variable speed drives
·Knowledge of AMP frameworks or previous Wessex Water projects
·NVQ or other technical electrical qualifications
