A leading contractor in the water sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their team in Gloucester. Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial or utility electrical work.
• Hands-on experience with submersible pumps such as Flygt, Grundfos, or Tsurumi.
• Experience working with variable speed drives is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Involved in workshop and on-site work including installation and commissioning of pumps.
• Conduct electrical repairs and servicing of pump control panels.
• Perform fault-finding, testing, and calibration.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be involved in both workshop and on-site work, including:
·Electrical repairs and servicing of pump control panels
·Installation and commissioning of pumps and associated electrical systems
·Fault-finding, testing, and calibration
·Technical troubleshooting and diagnostics
·Ensuring all work meets current electrical safety and water industry standards
We're interested in candidates who have:

·Proven experience in industrial or utility electrical work
·Knowledge of control panels, relay logic, and electrical systems
·Hands-on experience with submersible pumps such as Flygt, Grundfos, or Tsurumi
·18th Edition wiring regulations
·Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
·Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Desirable (but not essential):

·2391 Inspection & Testing qualification
·Experience working with variable speed drives
·Knowledge of AMP frameworks or previous Wessex Water projects
·NVQ or other technical electrical qualifications
