Location: Stockport
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: GBP19.22/hour
Travel: Initial training required in Munich, Germany

Deliver Excellence on the Frontline of British Defence

We are working with the UK's leading defence company, who are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their expanding team supporting the Boxer Mechanised Infantry Vehicle programme. Based in a brand-new facility in Stockport, you ll play a hands-on role in installing, diagnosing, and integrating electrical systems on advanced military vehicles. Full training is provided, including an initial 2-week programme in Munich with our parent company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and integrate electrical components and systems on military-grade vehicles.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

  • Use diagnostic tools and software to install and test vehicle systems, identifying and resolving faults.

  • Perform static and dynamic acceptance testing of vehicles.

  • Liaise with internal departments and supply chain partners to ensure timely issue resolution.

  • Order parts and log work through SAP and complete associated documentation.

  • Support and deliver training to others, following upskilling in Munich.

  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements and contribute to 5S/housekeeping standards.

  • Drive and manoeuvre vehicles on-site (training provided).

What We re Looking For:

Essential:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).

  • Level 2 Certificate in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Competence (or equivalent).

  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

  • Willingness to attend training in Munich.

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

  • IT Level Qualification in Maintenance or Installation for Engineering/Manufacturing.
