We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join our client, a leading specialist in their industry with customers worldwide. This is a permanent, day shift role.

Your responsibilities include executing planned and corrective electrical maintenance to ensure reliable operation of plant and equipment, troubleshooting faults, and identifying root causes. You will coordinate with maintenance, operations, and process departments, adhering to safe working practices.

Your main duties will include:

1. Implementing scheduled maintenance via work orders in the CMMS.
2. Responding to equipment failures and performing corrective measures.
3. Possessing comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, including PLCs, electrical panels, MCCs, SCADA, etc.
4. Performing disassembly, repair, overhaul, and testing of electrical plant.
5. Installing and repairing industrial equipment and components.
6. Investigating symptoms to identify root causes.
7. Proposing improvements for safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Our client seeks candidates with:

• IET Wiring Regulations BS 17th/18th edition certification.
• An electrical engineering apprenticeship at trade level.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, MCC, and SCADA.
• Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and process schematics, including P&ID.
• Understanding of mechanical systems is beneficial.
• Experience in heavy industry is preferred.
• Current CSCS card or similar, with PASMA and MEWP licenses beneficial.
• Forklift license beneficial.
• Confined spaces and BA competency certificates beneficial.
• Strong safety awareness, including risk assessments and permit systems.
• Proficiency with handheld computerized equipment.
• Flexibility and responsiveness to business needs.
