Overview

Remanufacturing Electrical Technician - Coventry

Are you a skilled technician who thrives on precision and problem-solving? Do you enjoy working hands-on with complex electrical and electronic systems? We are recruiting for a Remanufacturing Electrical Technician to join our market-leading automotive aftermarket clientins Coventry. This role focuses on repairing, rebuilding, and testing automotive electrical components to OEM and MoD standards.

This is a highly skilled, hands-on position that demands attention to detail, fault-finding ability, and a methodical approach to component-level repair.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose faults to component level and perform PCB rework and repair
  • Dismantle and rebuild units to OEM and MoD standards
  • Evaluate parts availability and the commercial viability of repairs
  • Test components and assemblies to original equipment specifications
  • Complete accurate documentation including job cards and BOMs
  • Report faults and non-conformances to the Workshop Supervisor
  • Support wider workshop activities and maintain high-quality workmanship
What We7re Looking For
  • Proven experience in electronic fault finding and PCB rework
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and circuit diagrams
  • Logical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Familiarity with QHSE standards and workshop best practices
  • Competence in MS Office, especially Excel (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
Preferred qualifications
  • HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience in automotive, defence, or related sectors
