Job Description:

MPI has a requirement for an Electrical Technical Support person to work in a full-time role in Tewkesbury.

Our client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial plugs, sockets, and combination units to EN60309-2 and associated power distribution products.

Hours per week: 8:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday

This is a multi-tasking role with excellent prospects, reporting to the Managing Director and Projects Manager. You will provide front-line technical support to the internal and external sales teams through direct communication with our client base and assist with technical inquiries related to all our client's products and bespoke solutions.

Main duties and skills required:

• Excellent communication skills by phone and email
• Good customer service skills and well-organized
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office
• Good technical and practical skills
• Understanding of basic CAD and schematics
• Produce CAD drawings using E Plus Electro Graphics (full training provided)
• An electrical background is desirable
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Provide technical support relevant to the sales team
• Handle technical inquiries from clients
• Assist in preparing quotations, bills of materials, and final pricing with the assembly department
• Promote and advise on compatible products, services, and bespoke solutions
• Liaise with sales, projects, and other departments

Full product and technical training will be provided at our training center in Italy and on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in the electrical wholesale industry and demonstrate good technical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
