Job Title: Electrical Technical Services Manager
Reports To: Electrical Lead
Business Unit: Major Projects
Division: High-Tech Manufacturing (HTM)

ISG is a dynamic construction and engineering company delivering large, complex projects across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical TSM to join our growing HTM division in delivering a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees.

Role Purpose

  • To deliver a quality service and product to our clients in line with the project goals by working with the Professional team, Trades, Vendors, and applying ISG systems, procedures, and culture.
  • The role is a management position; the successful candidate will be expected to prepare and present reports, attend meetings with our Delivery Partners, Clients, and their Customers, and manage engineering delivery on site, including quality and health and safety. Although commissioning is outsourced, the TSM is expected to be actively involved in the commissioning and closeout of the project.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage temporary site electrical utilities package for a pharmaceutical project from procurement through installation and commissioning, reporting to the Electrical Lead.
  • Identify problems and offer solutions.
  • Manage multiple general, specialist, and services contractors.
  • Coordinate site-wide temporary builder's supply, electrical generators, water supplies, and the permanent MEP and IT installations.
  • Oversee earthing, design development, and coordination of related services like logistics, security, CCTV, fire systems, water, and data services.
  • Develop quality control procedures, schedules, sequencing, and modular construction practices.
  • Manage drawing production and review requests from construction teams regarding temporary electrical requirements.
  • Provide technical support and industry experience to the construction team.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S and electrical regulations during installation.
  • Manage trade contractors, establish quality sign-off schedules, monitor workmanship, and progress.
  • Review and approve RAMs, monitor safety compliance, and manage temporary supplies for commissioning.
  • Establish commissioning sign-offs, support project completion, and promote ISG culture.
  • Produce project reports, monitor program, and contribute to risk mitigation.
  • Provide buildability advice, value engineering solutions, and promote quality initiatives like Zero Defects.

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of construction processes.
  • Ability to collate information for drawings and schedules.
  • Experience in electrical disciplines on construction projects.
  • Understanding of health and safety policies and management systems.
  • Pharmaceutical project experience.

Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering.
