Job summary

Sweet Projects is seeking a Technical Manager to deliver electrical building services design across the project lifecycle, from inception to handover, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and industry standards. You will lead technical discussions, manage design teams, and collaborate with clients, consultants and subcontractors to achieve high-quality outcomes.

The role requires extensive experience in design leadership within the construction sector, with strong knowledge of building

Qualifications

B.Eng or BSc qualified with leadership responsibilities
Membership in a relevant professional body
Working towards Chartered
MCIAT (desirable)
ARB Registered (desirable)

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the technical design and pre-construction processes.
Oversee design development through to handover, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
Produce, review and approve calculations, drawings, models and technical reports.
Ensure design packages meet project requirements, buildability and safety standards.
Contribute to bid/tender design work and VE opportunities.
Monitor information quality from consultants and sub-contractors.
