Zuno is seeking an Electrical Technical Advisor in Leeds to assess EV system quality, safety, and compliance. The role is office-based with remote handling of onsite installation issues.

You will audit installations, support engineers, and maintain records while staying current with EV regulations and technology trends. Strong communication and reporting will be essential.

Qualifications

Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation; NVQ Level 3 is desirable.
Experience in EV systems and electrical installations is desirable.
Solid understanding of EV components; knowledge of BS 7671 and IET Code of Practice for EV charging equipment installation.
Experience with audit methodologies (internal, external, supplier audits).
Strong analytical, communication, and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers by offering technical solutions over the phone or via live chat.
Offer technical support to other departments, e.g. compliance and aftercare.
Communicate clearly with customers, offering solutions, recommendations, and reassurance.
Review customer submissions prior to installation.
Carry out audits on all completed installations, checking for compliance issues; flag non-compliant work for engineers to re-attend.
Update the Zuno admin platform regularly to record recommendations and information for each job.
Review internal/external audit information.
Support internal teams in developing corrective action plans and verifying implementation.
Stay up to date with evolving EV regulations, safety requirements, and technological advancements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Electrical Technical Advisor to assess and ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of EV systems and components. This role is critical in maintaining industry standards, regulatory compliance, and product integrity throughout the EV lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Assist engineers by offering technical solutions over the phone or via live chat.
Offer technical support to other departments, e.g. compliance and aftercare.
Communicate clearly with customers, offering solutions, recommendations, and reassurance.
Review customer submissions prior to installation.
Carry out audits on all completed installations, checking for compliance issues. Where a job is not fully compliant, flag it for the engineer to re-attend.
Update the Zuno admin platform regularly to ensure all recommendations, technical knowledge and information is being recorded for each job.

Support internal teams in developing corrective action plans and verifying implementation.
Stay up to date with evolving EV regulations, safety requirements, and technological advancements.

Essential Qualifications

We'd love if you have experience in

Installation experience of EV chargers/equipment.
Strong domestic retrofit experience.
IT systems such as Microsoft Office.
