Electrical Team Leader

About the Company

My client is currently recruiting for an Electrical Team Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual as this is great position to advance to an operations manager role.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering electrical installation projects managing a small on-site team (typically around 5 engineers).

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing electrical installations in an industrial environment (food manufacturing experience highly desirable)
  • Quoting and delivering small works projects
  • Building strong working relationships with client Project Managers
  • Preparing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Ensuring works comply with SHEQ standards
  • Selecting and ordering materials and hire equipment
  • Arranging suitable labour for each project
  • Supervising and supporting your team to deliver high-quality results
  • Fault finding, testing and modifying control panels as required
  • Completing timesheets and project documentation accurately
  • Work on varied projects mainly focused on lighting and power installations

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified to BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition)
  • Knowledge of BS 60204 (Electrical equipment of machines/control panels)
  • Confident in fault finding and testing to BS 7671
  • Proven experience supervising teams and managing subcontractors where needed

Required Skills

  • Experience in control and automation, including building and modifying control panels
  • Strong experience in electrical installation within an industrial setting
  • Able to read and interpret schematic drawings
  • Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working to tight timescales
  • Able to produce clear, accurate quotations and project plans
  • Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and client engineers
