We believe work is something you do, not somewhere you go - so if you want to work for a company that is truly flexible and where you are valued, this could be the role for you!

What we're all about

Here at Yorkshire Housing, our customers are at the heart of what we do - we call it being customer obsessed. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes across Yorkshire, with a mission to make it possible for our customers to have a place they're proud to call home.

Delivering safe, compliant electrical services is a key priority for us. As a Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our services meet high standards of quality, performance, and safety.

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for overseeing a team delivering electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with regulations.

Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, you'll manage day-to-day operations, monitor performance, and support your team to deliver excellent results.

Your role will combine leadership, operational oversight, and technical support to ensure services are efficient, compliant, and customer focused.

You'll also:

  • Lead and support a team of electricians and operatives

  • Oversee day-to-day service delivery and workload management

  • Monitor performance, set targets, and drive improvements

  • Ensure all work is compliant with regulations and safety standards

  • Carry out quality checks, audits, and performance reviews

  • Support training, coaching, and development of team members

  • Manage customer issues and complaints effectively

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders

  • Support resource planning and operational improvements

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you'll combine leadership and technical expertise to deliver a high-performing service. This is a Agile job, in which you will be out and about, at the office and working from home.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is technically capable, confident leading others, and focused on delivering great service.

You'll bring:

  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical services

  • Relevant electrical qualifications, including inspection and testing

  • Experience in a supervisory or team leader role

  • Knowledge of compliance and health and safety standards

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Experience managing performance and improving services

  • A proactive and solution-focused approach

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • A strong commitment to customer service

We offer an excellent salary of £46,659plus £2,000 car allowanceper year (35 hours a week), plus 26 days annual leave (rising each year to 31 days) plus bank holidays.

You'll also get a benefits package to suit you, including a health cash plan (claim back on things like prescriptions and eye tests), retail discounts, and our pension scheme where we'll match your contributions up to 9%.

We work flexibly with our hub, home, roam approach, and we'll support your development with a range of internal and external training opportunities.
