We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Team Leader to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual aiming to progress towards an Operations Manager role. You will be responsible for delivering electrical installation projects valued around £15k-£35k, managing a small on-site team (typically around 5 engineers), while being part of a larger team of up to 65 on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical installations in an industrial environment (food manufacturing experience highly desirable).
- Quote and deliver small works projects typically valued up to £25k-£35k.
- Build strong working relationships with client Project Managers.
- Prepare detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Plan and manage small projects to tight timescales.
- Audit ongoing works to ensure compliance with SHEQ standards.
- Select and order materials and hire equipment.
- Arrange suitable labor for each project.
- Supervise and support your team to deliver high-quality results.
- Fault find, test, and modify control panels as required.
- Complete timesheets and project documentation accurately.
- Work on varied projects mainly focused on lighting and power installations.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in electrical installation within an industrial setting.
- Experience in control and automation, including building and modifying control panels.
- Able to read and interpret schematic drawings.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working to tight timescales.
- Able to produce clear, accurate quotations and project plans.
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and client engineers.
Specific Skills / Qualifications
- Fully qualified to BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition).
- Knowledge of BS 60204 (Electrical equipment of machines/control panels).
- Confident in fault finding and testing to BS 7671.
- Proven experience supervising teams and managing subcontractors where needed.
