Job summary

Rolls-Royce Derby is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead electrical design and measurement activities for test facilities and rigs. The role focuses on defining specifications, commissioning documentation, and applying standards within the Civil and Defence test facilities portfolio.

The candidate will drive capability development, assessment of EMI/EMC impacts, and provide technical direction to peers and junior professionals, with a security clearance requirement for the Defence

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of the specialist subject with the ability to influence senior decisions.
• Experience with electrical test facilities and measurement techniques.
• Ability to develop and apply ISTs (Instrumentation Standards and Techniques) for new electrical measurements.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical design oversight on complex projects.
• Lead the definition and development of measurement capabilities and ISTs.
• Coaching and guiding electrical designers in requirements development.
• Lead the electrical measurement Community of Practice and collaborate across global teams.
