Job summary

VIQU IT in Warwick is seeking an Electrical Systems/EDS Engineer on a 6-month contract to support a next-generation vehicle platform. You will work across electrical distribution systems, wiring harnesses and vehicle integration, producing schematics and system documentation for LV and HV wiring.

You will collaborate with Systems, Mechanical and Electrical teams to ensure vehicle-level integration, with hands-on testing, diagnostics and fault finding.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Systems/EDS Engineer, wiring harness or vehicle electrical systems design.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring architectures and electrical design principles.
• Experience designing and integrating vehicle wiring harnesses and electrical components.
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems, interfaces and CAN Bus communications.
• Experience with electrical design/CAD tools; Zuken E3, Solid Edge or similar advantageous.
• Practical experience of testing, diagnostics and electrical fault finding.
• Experience within automotive, EV, motorsport, off-highway, commercial vehicle or similar electro-mechanical environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle electrical distribution systems (EDS), wiring harnesses and components.
• Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and system documentation.
• Support routing and integration of LV and HV wiring harnesses across vehicle systems.
• Define electrical components, interfaces and design requirements.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical and Electrical teams for vehicle-level integration.
• Support testing, commissioning, fault finding and issue resolution.
• Manage design changes and support engineering release and manufacturing.
