Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions in Staffordshire is seeking a Development Engineer to join the Development Capability team. The role offers exposure to evaluation, pre-production and validation tasks within an extrinsic engineering environment.

The successful candidate will carry out system development testing of electrical, electronic and electromechanical systems, collaborating with project teams to deliver robust solutions and meet programme objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in live testing of LV electrical/electronic equipment.
• Understanding of HASAWA and safety practices in engineering environments.
• Knowledge of digital and analogue circuit design is desirable.
• Programming skills are advantageous and demonstrate learning potential.

Responsibilities

• Design and development of system test suites.
• Conduct development and qualification testing.
• Schematic and design capture.
• Component selection, advice and review.
• Support engineering tasks across projects and programmes.
• Testing and laboratory testing of products.
• Document work in line with procedures.
• Occasional on-site commissioning or trials, potentially overseas.
