RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our UK agency is recruiting for a new collaborator as a System Engineer M/F to support the technical teams involved in Hinkley Point C.

The position will be based in Bristol, in a permanent contract.

  • Produce, review and update the system documentation for diverse electrical systems (DN, DS, DX), including operator instructions, human machine interface, safety and environmental specifications, control logic design, as well as periodic testing in compliance with the engineering rules, methodologies, quality processes, and tools.
  • Manage interfaces with other disciplines involved in the radioprotection equipment contracts.
  • Oversee the design and operation of the EPR systems during the design, construction, and commissioning phases, in accordance with safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and design rules.
  • Ensure the proper integration of detailed mechanical diagrams, functional diagrams, and 3D models in the associated tools.
  • Receive modification requests issued by various engineering teams, verify the coherence of these modifications, systematically challenge their necessity, and ensure feasibility and validity.

BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Electrical, Nuclear Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer.
  • Knowledge of the RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909).
  • Knowledge of the nuclear field via educational curriculum or professional experience.
  • Experience in technical document reviews.
  • Experience in the radioprotection field, instrumentation equipment design, procurement, testing, or installation.
