Job description

Electrical System Design Engineer, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

This role is based in Alzenau / Frankfurt in Germany, with responsibilities including:

• Designing electrical systems, including circuit design, wiring, fusing, and electrical packaging.
• Creating schematics and 2D harness drawings following industry standards.
• Developing and releasing solutions for electrical packages and wiring systems for vehicles.
• Using Catia V5 design tools, including electrical harness workbench, to create detailed harness routes and feasible designs from the conceptual phase.
• Presenting design information for project reviews.
• Performing vehicle fault analysis and modifying electrical harnesses as needed.
• Supporting program launches, manufacturing, and service departments with guidance on installation and rework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the motorsport industry.
• Organized, flexible, and able to adapt to last-minute changes.
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge of High Voltage Systems and Motorsport Looms.
• Proficient in MS Office and Catia V5.
• Self-motivated and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
