Job summary

Kier Group in Birmingham is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join the Severn Trent Water team. You will supervise electrical installation works across water projects, manage direct-staff electricians, and ensure safety and quality from installation to handover.

Based in Birmingham with 45 hours per week and some flexibility. Experience with electrical regulations and supervisor qualifications is required; driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• This role requires a recognised electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• SSSTS/SMSTS, 18th Edition, and Level 3 Inspection & Testing qualifications are expected.
• An ECS/JIB supervisor card is preferred for this role.
• Post-qualification experience in electrical installation, testing and supervision is required.
• Valid full driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on water and wastewater projects.
• Manage direct-staff electricians and ensure safe, high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate labour, materials, tools and front-work to maintain progress against programmes.
• Review electrical design for constructability and resolve technical queries with engineers.
• Issue and manage permits, coordinate isolations and ensure site controls compliance.
• Liaise with client representatives and site teams to meet work requirements.
