Duties/Responsibilities

Location: Mobile South (M4 Corridor) Eastleigh reporting office

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE MAY REQUIRE YOU TO UNDERTAKE SECURITY CLEARENCE

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Role overview

To ensure that the delivery of electrical aspects are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all of our customer/s. To ensure the installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member and manage the team and programme efficiently.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop the EMCOR UK Projects team through effective communication, training, and development, ensuring staff are fully competent and trained.
  • Support & manage the electrical installation with the PM, ensuring SOR and associated drawings are followed.
  • Develop RAMS for work to be carried out.
  • Work with the PM to ensure all extra works are captured and assist in producing additional SORs for variations.
  • Support safe working practices and ensure site team Eskills are completed.
  • Develop partnerships with suppliers to achieve mutual benefit and rationalize the supplier database.
  • Identify training shortfalls and work with administration to close gaps.
  • Maintain contact with customer representatives and attend meetings as directed by the PM.
  • Become a NICEIC Electrical qualifying supervisor and collaborate with the NICEIC qualifying manager to ensure documentation is completed correctly.
Person Specification

Who you'll be:

  • Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382-10 18th Edition, minimum.
  • C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing.
  • C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification preferred; equivalent qualifications accepted.
  • Experience in commercial electrical installations.
  • Experience with LV distribution systems.
  • Experience with DC/UPS systems is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work flexibly.
  • First Aid, IPAF, PASMA certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Management experience of on-site teams.
  • Ability to carry out daily briefings and ensure SORs & drawings are followed.
  • UK travel may be required.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence required.
  • Out of hours work may be necessary.
  • Compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing standards, including working at height and under CDM regs.
  • Wearing corporate PPE is mandatory.
