This role offers a 6-month contract with a rotation of 10 days on and 4 days off, including accommodation and travel benefits.

Black Hat Electrical Supervisor

Location: Reading

Duration: 6 months

Rotation: 10 days on & 4 days off

Site bonus: per Hour T&C apply

Role Overview

As an Electrical Supervisor, you will demonstrate experience in electrical installation works, managerial roles, and electrical engineering. Supervisors oversee all site work activities, including planning and developing work schedules for the electrical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce safety regulations and standards, prioritizing health and safety.
  • Stay updated with electrical legislation, codes, and standards, ensuring team compliance.
  • Possess practical experience with high and low voltage electrical systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Supervise and coordinate the electrical workforce, ensuring workspace safety and compliance.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and conduct personnel evaluations.
  • Review plans for new projects and inspect structures for code compliance.
  • Maintain records, submit reports, and develop safe work systems and site documentation.
  • Estimate time and material requirements, assist with design requirements, and ensure project budgets and schedules are met.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team to ensure documentation compliance.
Qualifications
  • Completed a Fully Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • JIB Registered Trade Card with Approved Electrician Grading or higher
  • City And Guilds 2380 18th Edition Qualification
  • City and Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Electrical Testing and Inspection
  • SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training) or equivalent
  • Three Day First Aid Training
