Job summary

1st Step Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Supervisor/AP to join a residential project in Leeds. The role requires an LVAP certificate dated within the last three years and a Gold JIB Card, with SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications desirable.

You will liaise with management on timelines and labour, respond to electrical issues as they arise, supervise direct labour and subcontractors, and conduct site safety audits and paperwork while ensuring safe practices are followed on site.

Qualifications

• Hold an Electrical LVAP Certificate dated within the last 3 years.
• Good literacy skills are required.
• Proactive thinking with an enthusiastic character; well organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
• Excellent people management skills are essential for supervision of direct labour and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with management on timeframe and labour requirement.
• Respond to electrical issues as they occur on site.
• Gather information about the electrical installation and potential issues.
• Oversee direct labour or electrical subcontractors.
• Complete electrical site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork.
• Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by subcontractors on site.
• Report daily site issues or progression.
• Assist teams with resolving arising matters.
• Identify corrective actions and implement countermeasures to maximise productivity.
• Ensure materials are identified, sourced and delivered timely to minimise disruptions and maintain stock records.
• Maintain health and safety systems including risk assessments, method statements and toolbox talks.
• Carry out LV works.

1st Step Solutions are supporting a Tier 1 M&E Contractor who are looking for a Electrical Supervisor/AP to join their team on a residential project in Leeds.

The ideal candidate must hold an Electrical LVAP Certificate dated within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with management on timeframe and labour requirement.
• You will be required to respond to electrical issues as they occur.
• Gather information about the electrical installation and all potential surprises.
• Oversee direct labour or electrical subcontractors.
• Complete electrical site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork
• Ensure safe working practices and electrical safety rules are followed by Electrical Sub-Contractors on site.
• Reporting on a daily basis with site issues or progression.
• Assist teams with resolving matters arising.
• Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximise productivity.
• Ensure relevant materials and consumables are identified, sourced and delivered in a timely manner to minimise project disruptions maintaining records and controlling stock.
• Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, toolbox talks, etc.
• LV works.
