Job description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our client's business, based at their head office in the Greater Southampton area. This key role will involve overseeing subcontractors on various sites, ensuring the highest standards of installation quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple sites while maintaining a clear focus on health, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and monitor subcontractors' work on electrical installation projects across multiple sites.
2. Conduct quality checks and compliance assessments to ensure all installations meet regulatory and company standards.
3. Manage and maintain daily programmes of work, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and to specification.
4. Provide support and guidance to subcontractors, offering technical advice as required.
5. Liaise with site managers and project teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
6. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on all sites.
7. Regular travel to various project locations within the Hampshire and South East region.

Key Requirements:

1. Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the construction or electrical sector.
2. Strong knowledge of electrical installations, quality checks, and compliance requirements.
3. Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
7. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

Desirable:

1. Relevant qualifications such as 18th Edition, AM2, or equivalent.
2. Experience in overseeing subcontractors and managing project schedules.
3. Previous experience working within the social housing sector.
