Electrical Supervisor - HVDC Converter Station

Location: Norwich

Contract Length: 18 Months

Rate: Competitive (DOE)

About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Supervisor to join a major infrastructure project involving the construction of a cutting-edge HVDC Converter Station. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-voltage installation that supports the UK's transition to cleaner energy.

You'll be responsible for overseeing electrical works on-site, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery across all phases of the build. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a strong background in HV electrical systems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installations including HV equipment, LV systems, control & protection, and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure works are delivered to spec, on time, and in line with safety and quality standards.
• Lead site inspections, toolbox talks, and enforce HSE compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and commissioning teams.
• Maintain accurate site records and support testing and energization activities.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Engineering.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• ECS/CSCS card (Electrical Supervisor level).
• Experience on HVDC, substation, or large-scale power infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of HV equipment and commissioning processes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
