Job summary

A premier M&E contractor in London is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to manage sub-contractors and ensure site safety. The role offers £280-£310 per day and involves client liaison, progress reporting, and health & safety responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have strong technical knowledge and experience in Shell & Core projects. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • Good technical knowledge of Electrical building services is essential.
  • Experience working in Shell & Core and Office Fit Out sectors is required.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS qualification is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sub-contractors and labor.
  • Liaise with clients and attend site meetings.
  • Report progress and ensure health & safety at site level.
  • Prepare and issue RAMS and toolbox talks as needed.

Overview

Client: My client has established themselves as one of the UK s premier M&E contractors. Following their formation almost 75 years ago, they have grown their turnover to over £200m per annum. The business boasts an envious track record of delivering some of the UK s and London s landmark projects. Typically they specialise in major shell and core projects in sectors such as; commercial offices, healthcare, pharmaceutical and education. Despite their size, this Tier 1 M&E Contractor has fantastic staff retention rates with a reputation for looking after their staff. They offer excellent exposure and internal training schemes with a hands-on approach to developing their staff.

Role

Electrical Supervisor - Central London - £280-£310 per day

Responsibilities
  • Management of sub-contractors and labour
  • Client liaison and attend site meetings
  • Progress Reporting
  • Responsible for all health & safety at site level including the preparation and issuing of RAMS and toolbox talks where appropriate
  • Weekly H&S Returns
  • Project & programme implementation
  • Understanding of design & drawings
  • Continuous snagging to minimise defects & errors
  • Work with the Project Manager to manage the commissioning process and handover of the project
The ideal candidate
  • Have good technical knowledge of Electrical building services.
  • Experience working in the Shell & Core and Office Fit Out sector.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS Qualified
