Job description

Our client seeks a qualified electrician with knowledge as an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor to join a busy and expanding electrical team. This team carries out EICR reports and remedials work, where you will play a key role in ensuring the highest electrical safety and compliance standards in the properties and communal areas are maintained.

Main Duties of Electrical Supervisor

• You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical works comply with current regulations and NICEIC standards. You will act as the technical lead for our electrical operatives and support ongoing quality, compliance, and safety assurance.
• Assist with providing effective supervision and motivational leadership to our team of electricians
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular inspections and audits and complying with statutory legislation
• Oversee and assess the competence of our electricians working under our NICEIC registration
• Carry out periodic inspections, testing, and signing off work to ensure full compliance with BS7671
• Maintain and assist with the management of NICEIC certification and ensure ongoing compliance
• Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies as necessary
• Deliver a ‘right work at the right time’ repair service, ensuring minimal disruption to the tenant; providing technical support and training to the team as required
• Manage team performance, reviewing skills and establishing performance improvements required.

Skills and Knowledge

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent in testing & inspection)
• Previous experience as a Qualifying Supervisor or readiness to step into the role
• Strong understanding of current electrical regulations and health & safety practices

Salary and Benefits

• £51K per annum
• 42.5-hour week
