Job description

Role: Electrical Supervisor (Working Supervisor)
Location: Carlisle, Workington, Whitehaven, Maryport
Salary: £43,000–£45,000 + weekly pay + mileage
Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:00-16:30 (30 min unpaid lunch)

I’m looking for an Electrical Supervisor for a hands-on role across West Cumbria. To be clear - this is a working supervisor position, so it’s more about getting stuck in than managing a big team (especially since it’s a fresh start, and you’ll be the first one in).
The focus is on PPM and reactive maintenance, with some installs and general building services bits. It’s a long-term contract, the relationship with the client is solid, and there’s plenty of scope to shape the role as the team grows.

What you’ll get:
  • £43-£45k basic
  • Weekly pay (includes mileage)
  • Company van + fuel card (personal use optional)
  • Mileage back from your own vehicle at £0.22/mile
  • Tools + phone provided
  • OT: 1.5x Mon-Sat, 2x Sun
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank hols
  • 2 weeks company sick pay
  • Bonus scheme (varies each year)
  • Standard pension
  • Training + career progression as the contract grows
Rota + Travel:
  • 40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri
  • Call-out: 1 in 4, £150 retainer + minimum 4 hours pay per call
  • Travel time kept to 30 mins each way
What I’m after:
  • NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and 2391 Test & Inspect
  • Someone who’s confident on the tools, but also capable of overseeing jobs/site when needed
  • No drama, good attitude, reliable - this is a chance to build from the ground up
  • Good with mobile systems (you’ll be using 365 - phone provided)

There’s no specialist kit or niche systems, so it’s ideal for someone who likes a bit of variety without over-complication. You’ll be client-facing now and then, so a professional approach is key, but it’s not red-tape heavy.
