Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Contracts Supervisor to oversee electrical installation projects across multiple sites in the Plymouth area, with travel to client sites as required. The role offers a permanent position with a salary in the £50–£60k doe range.

You will supervise electrical works on site, coordinate labour and subcontractors, ensure safety and quality standards, and maintain clear communication with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works across multiple projects and sites.
• Coordinate and manage direct labour, approved subcontractors, and specialist electrical suppliers.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements, project specifications, BS 7671 Wiring Regulations, and relevant industry standards.
• Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and project performance.
• Attend and contribute to site meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Undertake on-site practical works, testing, inspection, and fault-finding activities when required.
• Support Contracts Managers in the successful delivery of projects.
• Assist with planning labour requirements, procurement, and material deliveries.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Ensure accurate site records are maintained, including daily diaries, progress updates, testing records, and labour tracking.
• Support commissioning, energisation planning, and project handover activities.
