Job Description

Site Supervisor

As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and managing the teams working on excavating and lay work as part of the WPD contract. You will provide technical expertise and work collaboratively to deliver a first-class service to our customers.

Ideal candidates will be competent in working within Power Networks, capable of engineering solutions on site, and focused on completing work right the first time. You will coordinate with the scheduling team to ensure programmes are managed and delivered effectively. Additionally, you will support the effective completion of our work through communication with internal and external customers and management of business and client database systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of each workstream, coordinating from receipt to job completion.
  • Supervise all excavating and lay activities, managing projects alongside subcontractors and direct labor, engaging with client technicians, team managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Understand all backfill and reinstatement processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all client and operational requirements are met professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide daily and weekly reports to meet service levels and objectives.
  • Contribute positively and innovatively to the team by providing solutions and embracing change.
  • Report safety issues in line with company procedures.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications, such as NRWSA at supervisory level.
  • Experience working on utility contracts.
  • Financial and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
