Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Shepton Mallet is hiring an Electrically Biased Site Services Engineer to maintain and fault‑find across site services, utilities and industrial plant. The role offers a £53k‑£54k salary plus bonus and a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

You will work across steam, compressed air, water, HVAC and electrical systems, supporting boiler and piping equipment, carrying out PPMs, and assisting project installations within a large manufacturing site.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or recognised electrical/engineering qualification.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills in an industrial environment.
• Confident working with three-phase systems, motors and electrical control equipment.
• Experience with site services, utilities or process plant would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of steam, boilers, compressed air, refrigeration, HVAC or water systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and fault find across site services and utilities including steam, compressed air, water, refrigeration/chilled systems and HVAC.
• Electrical fault finding across motors, pumps, control panels, three-phase systems, inverters, sensors, relays and contactors.
• Support boiler and steam systems, pumps, valves and associated distribution equipment.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site infrastructure.
• Fault find on PLC-controlled systems, including I/O and field devices.
• Support refrigeration, cooling and temperature-controlled systems.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, bearings and associated equipment.
• Complete PPMs and statutory maintenance activities, ensuring plant remains safe, compliant and reliable.
• Support installations, upgrades and engineering projects across the site.
