Electrical Shopfitters Mate - Durham

At phs Compliance, we are excited to announce our business is growing. To support this, we are looking for experienced Electricians Mates on a 6 month fixed-term contract to join our successful team. The role involves carrying out LED lighting refurbishments for a well-known food shopping retailer across the UK.

If you are enthusiastic, flexible, and experienced in electrical work, then this role is for you!

Responsibilities of the Electrical Mate include:

• Carrying out LED lighting replacements in and out of hours, in line with the project schedule
• Completing and submitting all paperwork and certification on time
• Conducting pre-surveys to determine stock quantities
• Liaising with the Project Manager regularly
• Handling deliveries from various manufacturers and waste companies
• Understanding project contracts, drawings, and specifications
• Delivering completed works to the site manager upon completion

Candidate requirements:

• Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including evenings and shifts
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home
• Full UK manual driving license (minimum 12 months, max 6 points)
• Experience or knowledge in electrical work, working towards basic electrical qualifications
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification
• IPAF 3a & 3b certifications
• Good IT literacy
• Experience with electrical installation and commercial lighting replacements
• Understanding of health and safety regulations
