Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Shift Technician in Ebbw Vale, South Wales to maintain and improve production equipment across a busy site. The role offers a competitive package up to £50,000 plus overtime and call-out allowances, with training and development supported.

You will perform reactive and planned maintenance, diagnose faults, support projects, and work with engineering teams to meet targets while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical apprenticeship.
• ONC or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and team-working skills.
• Flexible approach to shifts and overtime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance across a range of production and process equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults to minimise downtime and support operational performance.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities to maximise plant reliability.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and engineering improvement projects.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure operational targets are achieved.
• Support health and safety standards by ensuring equipment remains compliant and safe to operate.
• Participate in a structured call-out rota and provide engineering support when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
