Overview
You will need an 18th Edition electrical qualification, as well as a HVK license. Responsible for the efficient running of our Electrical Function within our Skegness resort, you will ensure that the highest standard of service is met consistently, delighting our guests and receiving positive feedback.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team to deliver high service standards, ensure engagement and adherence to best practice, and support day-to-day activities of the electrical team including routine maintenance, servicing and repairing of domestic, commercial and electrical equipment.
- Manage project works with both the team and subcontractors; plan and operate the rota system including on-call arrangements; be available for call outs if required.
- Maintain a sound knowledge of fault finding and installation works; oversee all team activities within the department, including recruitment, performance, and team development.
- Ensure full compliance with all H&S policies; manage internal team and external service providers; oversee guest experience in line with brand/venue guidelines; capture guest feedback.
- Provide accurate rosters three weeks in advance and ensure system accuracy when closing; monitor NPS and take action on guest feedback; coach and develop the team to meet departmental plans; champion Butlin’s Values and Leadership Behaviours.
- Focus on RPRRT in team rostering; build and maintain relationships across the resort, other resorts, and Butlin’s central support teams; provide people support across the department including onboarding, PDPs, performance management, and required training.
- Manage the guest experience as a primary objective; drive add-on sales and promotions, and ensure stock/propositions are available for guests.
Qualifications & Skills
- 18th Edition electrical qualification; HVK license.
- Experience leading teams, with ability to prioritise a demanding workload, work on own initiative, and operate PC/Microsoft suite.
- Strong fault-finding and installation knowledge; ability to direct and respond in any situation while delivering consistent brand standards.
- Flexible with shifts (the role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days); occasional late work and at least one weekend day per week may be required.
- Excellent leadership skills to inspire and engage the team, even during high-demand periods; ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
- Experience in training and coaching in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.
