Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer – Fenchurch Street – £50,000

Location: The City of London

Salary: £50,000

Hours: Continental Shift Pattern

We are currently recruiting an M&E Shift Maintenance Technician to join our prestigious Banking Contract in The City of London, maintaining landlord areas & plant. You will work for a large maintenance contractor serving blue chip companies, so client-facing skills and good communication are essential. This role involves working full Continental Shift Pattern.

Our client is one of the largest independent providers of property maintenance services in the UK, offering Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance across numerous locations, including Mechanical & Electrical, Fabric, Air Conditioning, and Combustion maintenance and installations in commercial & retail environments.

Duties:
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete related documentation.
  • Handle Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, ensuring proper reporting.
  • Participate in a call-out rota for out-of-hours coverage.
  • Assist team members and follow line manager instructions.
  • Complete tasks within contractual timeframes.
  • Proactively reduce energy consumption on-site.
  • Supervise visiting subcontractors regarding work standards and safety.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Accurately complete all work-related documentation on time.
  • Work safely and diligently, complying with all safety policies.
  • Attend training and appraisal activities as required.
  • Perform additional duties as capable and required.
Requirements:
  • Qualified to City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent in Electrical discipline (essential).
  • Desirable: Completed City & Guilds BS 2391 Level 3 Electrical Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on various equipment.
