Job Description:

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our prestigious contract in Cambridge, maintaining landlord areas and plant. You will work for a large maintenance contractor serving blue chip companies, so good communication skills and client-facing experience are essential.

This role involves working a full continental shift pattern, cycling through 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.

The client is one of the UK's largest independent property maintenance providers, offering Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance across various environments, including Mechanical & Electrical, Fabric, Air Conditioning, and Combustion.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete all documentation.
  • Handle Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks, documenting accordingly.
  • Participate in a call-out rota for out-of-hours support.
  • Assist team members and supervise visiting sub-contractors regarding work quality and safety.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within contractual timeframes.
  • Proactively work to reduce energy consumption on site.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete all work-related documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
Requirements:
  • City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent qualification in Electrical discipline (essential).
  • Desirable: City & Guilds BS 2391 Level 3 Electrical Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on various equipment.
