Job summary

Invictus Group is seeking an Electrical Shift Leader for a facilities management site in Kings Cross, London. You will lead a small on-site engineering team, oversee day-to-day operations and ensure building services are maintained to high standards.

The role involves PPM and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, safety compliance, and liaison with contractors. The position offers a continental shift pattern and a salary up to £52,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience in a commercial building services or facilities management environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to lead a small team and work independently.
• Proactive approach to safety and compliance.
• Good communication, organisational and handover skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the on-shift engineering team, including the Shift Technician.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across site systems.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, minimising downtime and disruption.
• Ensure all electrical systems and building services operate safely and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant health and safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Complete maintenance records, shift logs and handover reports accurately.
• Respond to building emergencies and technical issues as required.
• Liaise with contractors, site management and other stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an Electrical Shift Leader to join a facilities management team at a site in Kings Cross, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is confident leading a small on-site engineering team.

Working as part of a dedicated two-person shift team, alongside a Shift Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the building's electrical and mechanical services.

The Role

As Electrical Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day engineering operations, coordinating maintenance activities and ensuring all building services are maintained to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

Salary, Shift Pattern & Benefits

• Salary: Up to £52,000 per annum.
• Location: Kings Cross, London.
• Shift Pattern: Continental shifts, working 12-hour days and nights, 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am, on a 4-on, 3-off, 6-on rotation.
