Job summary

Invictus Group in City of London is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Technician to join a leading facilities management team on a prestigious commercial site. This is a long-term role with strong overtime opportunities and excellent benefits.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, diagnose faults, ensure safety and compliance, and support energy-saving initiatives while working continental day and night shifts, with clear progression into senior

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience within commercial buildings, critical environments, facilities management or similar.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Maintain and inspect electrical systems, plant and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and technical issues across the site.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current health & safety legislation.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities team.
• Support contractors and specialist engineers when required.
• Assist with continuous improvement and energy-saving initiatives.

Electrical Shift Technician

Location: City of London

Shift Pattern: Continental Shift – Days & Nights, 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Technician to join a leading facilities management team based in a prestigious commercial site in the City of London.

The Role

Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of the site's electrical systems and associated building services.

You will work a continental shift pattern covering both days and nights, ensuring the building remains fully operational and maintained to a high standard.

What We're Looking For

• Recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous experience within commercial buildings, critical environments, facilities management or a similar setting.
• Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working a continental day/night shift pattern.
