Job summary

Edwards & Pearce is recruiting an Electrical Shift Engineer for a global stainless steel site in Sheffield. You will manage electrical works across the heavy engineering department, maintaining motors, drives, PLCs, and crane systems on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern with no weekends.

The role requires an HNC in Electrical Engineering, experience with ABB and Allen Bradley PLCs, fault-finding skills, and knowledge of safety regulations. Competitive salary with shift allowance is offered.

Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of PC-based software (Excel).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical systems across a heavy engineering plant.
• Inspections and fault finding on motors and drives.
• Maintain PLC systems (ABB, Allen Bradley) and calibration of controllers.
• Program tools to identify faults on PLCs and adjust parameters.
• React to breakdowns and minimize production impact.
