Electrical Shift Engineer – £47,000
Location: Thurrock, Essex
Salary: £47,000 + Ample Overtime Opportunities
Hours: Continental Shifts – 6am–6pm & 6pm–6am

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider, servicing a high-profile Critical Environment in Thurrock, Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency callouts and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Work on electrical systems including lighting, wiring, alarms, BMS, and distribution.
  • Carry out minor general building maintenance (e.g. drainage, sinks, tiling).
  • Perform fault finding on systems such as AHUs, FCUs, UPS, Generators, LV systems.
  • Operate and manage BMS controls (Head End preferred).
  • Maintain and repair HVAC plant, VAV/VRV systems, and water treatment systems.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation or a related trade.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in building services or facilities maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of building systems with strong fault-finding abilities.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to grow and develop within the role.
