Electrical Shift Engineer – Data Centre | Hampshire or Hayes

Salary: £55,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Benefits

We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to help maintain the reliability and efficiency of mission-critical systems in a high-performance data centre environment. If you're passionate about preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and keeping essential infrastructure running smoothly—this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.
  • Monitor Building Management System (BMS) alarms and address HVAC-related issues promptly.
  • Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on critical equipment.
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure service and maintenance standards are met.
  • Carry out regular facility walkthroughs, including meter readings on UPS, PDUs, and utilities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve plant and infrastructure issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completed technical training (apprenticeship or equivalent) with 1–2 years of hands-on experience.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Basic math skills for routine calculations and reporting.
