Smart Managed Solutions is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer for a prestigious contract in Blackfriars. The role involves carrying out PPM, reactive and breakdown works on electrical systems, with knowledge of Air conditioning, UPS, Generators and LV systems.

You will fault find using graphical information and alarm data, manage tasks to avoid unplanned disruptions, and report on asset performance. The position follows a 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off

Competenze

• Formally trained in City and Guilds Electrical Installations or the equivalent NVQ and Building Services maintenance.
• 18th Edition BS7671 City and Guilds.

Mansioni

• Carry out PPM to all electrical plant in line with site task schedules.
• Handle reactive tasks and fault-finding to maintain plant in serviceable order.
• Provide spare parts inventory and estimated timescales for remedial works.
• Maintain and update the CMMS with accurate data and close out tickets.
• Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for tasks to ensure safe working practices.

2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off.

07:00-19:00.

Purpose

To carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown works to all Electrical systems within the site. Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of Air conditioning, UPS, Generators, LV systems, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data. Operate and manage all engineering assets to support the business with no unplanned disruptions in the most cost-effective manner. Manage reactive works process to ensure requests are responded to and closed out in accordance with agreed procedures. To develop management tools to actively report on asset and building performance and make recommendations for improvement.

Key Tasks And Responsibilities

• Ensure routine PPM is carried out to all electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
• Complete reactive tasks throughout the building and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls should also include concessionary stores and fabric-related items.
• Address plant faults and defects swiftly to maintain plant in serviceable order.
• Maintain suitable spares to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. Provide parts inventory and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
• Maintain the Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g. Concept, Smart Hub, ensuring that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
• Complete all relevant paperwork regarding reactive and breakdown works and pass it without delay to the contract administrator.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Maintain all plant rooms under the responsibility of Smart in a locked, clean and tidy condition.
