Essential Employment is seeking an Electrical Services Surveyor in St Albans on a full-time, temporary contract. The role involves implementing and maintaining electrical testing, managing mechanical/electrical services, and supervising related contracts to ensure value for money.

Candidates should have a driving license and business insurance. The postholder will conduct surveys of electrical installations, provide technical advice on legislation, and ensure compliance across owned buildings.

Responsibilities

• Implement, deliver and maintain cyclical electrical testing, including follow-on remedial works and day-to-day repairs.
• Oversee fire detection, door entry, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installations within properties.
• Ensure management, planning and maintenance of mechanical and electrical services for all associated contracts.
• Provide supervision of Building Services contracts with cost and budgetary control to maximise value for money.
• Undertake surveying work related to all electrical installations and advise on current legislation and regulations.

• The postholder is responsible for the implementation, delivery and associated maintenance of; cyclical electrical testing (including follow-on remedial works), day to day repairs, fire detection, door entry, lifts, CCTV and digital TV installations.
• To ensure the management, planning and maintenance of mechanical and electrical services within properties for all associated contracts.
• To provide supervision of Building Services contracts, together with the associated cost and budgetary control to ensure that the maximises value for money
• To undertake surveying work in relation to all electrical installations and ensure that appropriate works are undertaken in relation to owned homes. To provide technical advice to officers and customers in relation to current legislation and regulations.
• To act as the professional adviser in respect of mechanical and electrical building services. Ensure compliance in respect of any relevant legislation which impacts upon the day-to-day management of owned buildings.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
