Job summary

Talent Finder in Market Drayton is seeking a Product Testing Engineer to join a UKAS-accredited testing laboratory. You will test electrical and electronic products to safety standards and contribute to the product certification process.

The role offers a clean, modern laboratory environment with high-specification instruments. 37.5-hour week, technical training, and a clear pathway to lab management are provided to support career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience testing electrical and electronic equipment to recognised safety standards such as BS/EN IEC 61010, 60335, 62368 or 60598.
• BTEC or degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
• Customer-focused with ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Desire to develop knowledge and progress career in a UKAS-accredited lab.

Responsibilities

• Testing electrical and electronic products against safety standards.
• Evaluating product design for electrical, mechanical and thermal safety.
• Assessing hazards, fire risks and environmental performance.
• Verifying user manuals and product labelling for compliance.
• Writing clear, accurate test reports and using calibrated lab equipment.
• Working with manufacturers and designers to support product certification.
