British Engineering Services Group is a leading risk management solutions provider in the UK and Ireland, delivering electrical safety testing and EICRs for social housing. The Electrical Remedial Engineer role with BES Electrical focuses on high-quality electrical repairs and remedial works across the social housing sector, with opportunities to work on EV installations.

You will live in South London or the South West and travel across the two areas; you will use CRM and reporting software,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation (e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365)
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394 / 2395)
• Demonstrates a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Undertake high-quality electrical repairs and remedial works following inspection (e.g. distribution board changes, RCDs, socket changes)
• Potential to be involved in small projects such as EV installations
• Comply with company policies and health and safety procedures
• Record electrical documentation accurately using CRM and reporting software
• Liaise with customers and supply chain for excellent service
• Maintain van stocks and support first-time fixes in your area

With safety at the heart of everything we do, our Electrical division is focused on delivering the very highest standards of electrical safety. Our expert teams carry out hundreds of essential Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other critical inspections every day, helping customers stay compliant and protected. Alongside this, we are a leading specialist in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, managing everything from end‑to‑end installation through to ongoing routine safety inspections.

To be considered for this role, you will live within South London or the South West and be comfortable traveling across the two areas.

What will you be doing?

As a Electrical Remedial Engineer for BES Electrical, you will carry out electrical testing within the social housing industry within the North West and Yorkshire area. Within this role, you will undertake electrical testing in domestic/ communal areas and carry out any associated remedial works identified.

• Undertaking high-quality electrical repairs and remedial works following inspection, such as, distribution board changes, RCDs and socket changes
• Opportunity to get involved in small projects such as EV installations.
• To comply with company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Utilise both our CRM system and reporting software to accurately record electrical documentation.
• Liaise with customers and members of our supply chain, ensuring you provide an excellent service.
• Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of first time fixes for the area you work within

• Qualifications including: NVQ Level 3 Qualification in electrical installation work e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394 / 2395)
• To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues.
• A flexible approach to working, you should be able and willing to work overtime to cover workloads during busy periods.
• Be happy to work nights 1 week out of every month.
• To be hard-working, conscientious Electrician that takes satisfaction from delivering a great service to our prestigious client base.
• Good level of computer literacy
• Full driving licence
