Job summary

People Group Limited seeks an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor for the Devonport Dockyard Upgrade in Devonport, Plymouth. You will provide client-side commercial oversight across electrical works packages, driving cost control and value for money across major infrastructure works.

The role demands strong negotiation, cost forecasting and change control skills within a complex engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in client-side commercial management within construction or major infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of cost management, valuations, forecasting and change control.
• Experience assessing contractor quotations, variations and claims.
• Experience with electrical or M&E works is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide client-side commercial management across electrical works packages.
• Manage commercial performance of external electrical and M&E contractors.
• Review contractor applications for payment, valuations and cost information.
• Assess variations, compensation events and change submissions.
• Challen ge contractor quotations and substantiate costs.
• Prepare and manage cost reports, cash-flow forecasts and dashboards.
• Identify cost pressures, risks and opportunities and report them.
