Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Electrical Quality Systems Team Leader based at Culham, Oxfordshire. The role focuses on leading the QA of electrical manufacturing and installation across the RACE portfolio, creating and maintaining Quality Management Plans, and ensuring compliance with international standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification or equivalent experience with extensive electrical QA experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles, governance and safety requirements.
• Proven experience delivering electrical engineering projects and managing timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Quality Team, providing line management and coaching to team members.
• Own quality assurance across electrical systems within the RACE portfolio, including inspections and supplier/documentation approvals.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management plans, test plans and QA documentation, driving right-first-time through continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership through design, build, testing and commissioning, advising on hardware manufacturability and compliance with site requirements.
• Manage suppliers, subcontractors and external partners to ensure quality, cost and schedule targets.
• Support project delivery and continuous technical development, collaborating with project managers on planning and safety management.
