Electrical Quality Inspector

Location: Bridgwater - Hinkley Point C

Type: Permanent

Summary

NG Bailey is involved in the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater, Somerset. This project is part of a new generation of nuclear power stations in Britain, providing zero-carbon electricity for around six million homes. As the UK's leading independent engineering and services business, NG Bailey is proud to be part of the MEH Alliance, delivering mechanical, electrical, and HVAC installation for the project.

We are expanding our team and are looking for an Electrical Quality Inspector to join us on the Hinkley Point C construction project within the MEH Alliance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform inspections according to the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
  • Coordinate with the client’s representative for daily inspections during construction activities.
  • Ensure installation compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor, and code requirements regarding materials and alignment.
  • Assist QC manager and Area Leads in their responsibilities.
  • Maintain LTQRs during inspections, ensuring signatures on LTQR and ITP.
  • Update SONIM register as required.
  • Champion Foreign Material Exclusion to prevent ingress of non-specified materials, debris, or loose items during assembly and testing.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
  • Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391 qualification.
  • Significant experience in Quality Control for electrical and instrument systems during construction and operation of process plants.
