Example Recruitment on behalf of a leading renewable energy client seeks a Senior Solar Electrician / Electrical QS in the North East region. The role combines field-based supervision with hands-on installation of Solar PV and air source heat pumps.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and 2+ years' experience in domestic projects, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation is required.
• 18th Edition certification is required.
• 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification is required.
• Battery Storage qualification is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with Solar PV and ASHP installations.
• Strong background in domestic settings and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Acting as Qualified Supervisor, overseeing electrical work across solar PV and air source heat pump installations.
• Carrying out minor works certifications, installing extractor fans, and ensuring compliance and safety standards.
• Hands-on wiring of Solar PV systems, Air Source Heat Pumps, and related technologies.
• Providing excellent customer service in domestic settings, ensuring top-quality installations.
• Traveling across the region; company vehicle provided.

£50,000 - £55,000 + Company Car + Overtime

Full-Time Permanent Monday to Friday Field-Based

I m working on behalf of a fantastic client in the renewable energy sector, a market leader specialising in the design and installation of energy-efficient solutions across the North East, North West, and Yorkshire.

They re now looking to bring on board an experienced, hands on, Senior Solar Electrician / Electrical QS to join their expanding team in the North East region. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who s hands-on, highly qualified, and passionate about driving quality and compliance in the renewables space.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Acting as Qualified Supervisor, overseeing electrical work across solar PV and air source heat pump installations
• Carrying out minor works certifications, installing extractor fans, and ensuring all compliance and safety standards are met
• Hands-on wiring of Solar PV systems, Air Source Heat Pumps, and supporting associated technologies
• Providing excellent customer service in domestic settings, ensuring top-quality installations
• Travelling across the region (a company vehicle is provided)

What We're Looking For:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (required)
• 18th Edition certification

• Battery Storage Qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence
